WreckingBall 1.2.2 brings destructible scenery to Forza Horizon 2 on PC through Azimuth, inspired by the breakable objects in later Horizon games.
FEATURES
• Trees and bushes break using the game's own breakable-tree physics. Each tree produces a log; larger trees slow cars more and count toward Lumberjack.
• Fences, railings, guardrails, bollards, roadside signs, bins and lamp posts can be smashed.
• Wooden telephone poles fall on the mainland and Storm Island.
• Large concrete pylons that previously lacked collision are now solid.
• Debris fades after 45 seconds or when more than 120 metres away.
• Festival fences, event and crowd barriers, walls, bridges, gates and barriers above drop-offs stay solid.
IN-GAME SETTINGS
Open Pause > MODS > Installed mods > WreckingBall to adjust breakable scenery and slowdown values. Settings are saved; the game prompts for a restart if needed.
INSTALLATION
1. Close Azimuth, then download the ZIP from GitHub Releases.
2. Extract the ZIP into the folder containing azimuth.exe.
3. Confirm d3dcompiler_47.dll is beside azimuth.exe and WreckingBall.dll is inside fh2-mods.
4. Start the game and test a tree.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPATIBILITY
Requires the November 24, 2015 Forza Horizon 2 PC game build through Azimuth and FH2 Mod Platform 2.2.0+ (version 2.5.0 is bundled). Extra Options is optional and compatible. The d3dcompiler_47.dll loader is shared with WheresMyBuddy and FH2 Universal Radio; any of their copies works. On unsupported game builds, WreckingBall disables itself. FH2ML automatic installation support is not confirmed.
KNOWN ISSUES
Painted fence debris may appear plain metallic; overhead wires remain hanging when a pole falls; rare unloaded tree models may produce invisible broken pieces.
